APRIL HABEGER, Administrator

April has had a heart for education for missionary children, especially after raising her four daughters in East Africa. While she has taught different levels of classes, she especially loves science and sharing with children the wonder of God’s amazing creation. She holds both a teaching credential for teaching Chemistry and Biology and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from the USA.

She and her husband and family have been serving God with SIL as support staff in East Africa since 1993. After raising her family in East Africa and being involved in various educational experiences, she saw the need for a Christian school that specifically meets the needs of missionary families in South Sudan and thus helped to start Juba Christian Academy. April enjoys reading, cross stitch and spending time with her grown daughters and now also her grandchildren.

TRACEY FEIL, Acting administrator/Teacher

Having taught for over 25 years and served on primary school senior leadership teams in Malawi, Uganda and the UK, Tracey followed the call of God from her home in England to South Sudan in 2020. She became involved with JCA almost immediately by helping out with a few zoom lessons during the pandemic and now teaches across the age range. Tracey has a particular heart for curriculum and teacher development and equipping children as resilient learners.

Highlights of her week include leading devotions; setting challenging math problems; sharing a great story and helping all to explore our God-given creativity through art. Supported by their partnership team through Mission Aviation Fellowship, Tracey is here with her husband who manages the operations for MAF in South Sudan.

RAEL WAFULA, Kindergarten/Elementary Teacher

Rael is our Preschool – Grade 1 teacher and has been teaching at JCA for over four years. Inspired by Ephesians 6:7, she ‘works with enthusiasm’ and loves creating great opportunities for children to learn through play and story.

She and her husband Jonathan came to South Sudan from their home in Kenya and live here with their two daughters: the eldest attends JCA too!

VICTORIA DAWA, Pre-school/Kindergarten

A fully qualified teacher in South Sudan, Victoria loves supporting teaching and learning at JCA, particularly in Preschool and Kindergarten classes. Victoria has a gentle, nurturing character and a warm sense of fun and is loved by us all!
